Welcome to NH: "Live free or die"
93N in Salem NH
Mile Marker 1 and the bridge overpass BETWEEN the rest area and exit one is the LIDAR spot for you.
55 MPH.
Then they use radar 300 yards past that spot AT exit 1.
The lane reduction from 3-2 is there under the bridge (which is the on ramp to 93S from the Rt 28/38 malls.
They watch for breakdown lane violations and use the bridge abutment to hide behind and radar you.
55 MPH.............INCHES away from 65 MPH......so you think you're free..........
UPDATE SEPT 05
Mile Marker 13.6 by kpatz:
I-93, between Exits 4 and 5 (approx. 2 miles north of exit 4), there is a grassy median that is lower than the highway (it's like a wide gully). Last Saturday there was a statey parked down there running his Ka band Stalker in instant-on mode. In that spot you can't see him until you're right on top of him. Fortunately my X50 "saw" him as far back as exit 4 (2 mile range on Ka, impressive!) Being so low to the highway, I'd have to think that would limit the distance at which he can clock traffic.

93 in Manchester at the 101 EAST split.

FAR left fast breakdown lane. LIDAR Video to come.
2 man gun and ticket step up. This COMBO and LOCATION is a YEAR OLD.
55 MPH.
The above area is ALSO an elevation which the ProLAser III recommends against. and they had either a Stalker or the Pro III, which I think it was as the case was lighter grey in color. Two opticals side by side.

Noah sayz:
"We saw a major revenue-raiser on the way back home... this was on the
northbound side of 93, around mile marker 79. They had at least 10
cars pulled over and were pretty much waving everyone over. We picked
up Ka, probably instant-on."
The WORST one I ever saw around MM 79 was on the Northbound side UNDER the bridge where the officer had the trunk up and open to hide the cruiser lights..
Borderline ENTRAPMENT IMHO.

This guy drove DOWN the embankment from 93S and was 60 feet or so on the center median embankment hill side. MOST INSANE location yet:
< NO ROAD> the grass mowers don't even go there.
This was no typical tree hiding, behind the guardrail or opening the trunk to be sneaky. (They do this in Plymouth)
This guy WINS the award for being in the MOST remote location I've seen yet on 93N in 15 years................
YOU'D NEVER look there. EVER.
He POPPED the minivan behind us. Assuming radar.
After video to come.
This elevates the level of SNEAK they are using. The PREVIOUS two awards are:
93N Rt 104 New Hampton Exit. JUST as the off ramp goes right, there are some pine trees between 93N and South.
The guy climbed his way into the pine trees and was shooting cars Northbound. This is 300 feet or so past the turn around cut through they usually use feet before the Rt 104 exit. DAMN SNEAKY.
93S at the 51 or so Mile Marker.
Its a down hill and the right grass median has a slight hill on it. They hide DOWN in the grass off the breakdown lane behind the slight hill.
If your sharp, you'll see the light bars....THAT'S IT.
Look hard for the tires tracks off the breakdown lane, you CAN see them.
That's their spot.
DEADLY...................
93 N
Mile Marker 99 area LINCOLN NH
during the winter they use the right edge of the breakdown lane BEHIND the guardrail just as the road goes up hill to exit 32 Rt 112.
HARD to see, as they blend right in.
IN THE SUMMER................
Look LEFT into the median, you'll see two dirt tire trails past the lone tree and the end of the straight JUST before exit 32 (SAME AREA)
SAME AREA LINCOLN NH
Mile Marker 98 - 99
They JUST repainted the timing marks on the road for use with AIRCRAFT.
They are 1500 feet in distance.
New paint means they will use them at some point.
Octoberfest Oct 8 - 9 and all ski season I'll bet....
93N bound Exit 11 area.
Bow tolls. Airplane Sky timer.
1500 ft marks and a plane radios ahead to the tolls where they wait in your lane to pay the toll then pull you over.
This has been in business on sunny days and Saturdays during ski season AND ANY GIVIN SUNNY DAY for TWO decades or so....................
Fri and Saturday especially.
