Yeah beauty is in the eye of the beholder , I think the old GTIs are ugly too lol. Remind me of the old hatch back Civics that everyone use to rice out in the 90s.

How is that a mistake? For the price of an SRT-4 you can't beat it. A WRX same year used is $7k more.

(but there are alot Haters for the SRT-4, My car got Keyed down the whole drivers side less then 3 months after buying it while parked in the street infront of my house)

Right now my car has roughly 100 horsepower. If I turbocharged it, and got it to 300 (get a new transmission with a limited slip differential) would my top speed increase?

What can I do to increase top speed?

I want to at least be able to do 120, preferably 140-155

what car do you have now, thats like a 200% increase in HP so you would have to basically make a whole new engine to be able to handle that depending on what vehicle we are talking about.

its a 1996 Honda Civic DX, D16Y8 engine.

I have talked to 10+ people online who have the same engine turbod, and they told me it was safe to take it up 100%, but no higher on stock internals. So around 200 horsepower is safe.

Alot of them have rides of around 300-400 horsepower with the engine (of course they have used forged internals)

The general consensus is the engine is built like a tank...

built like a tank but how much maintenance... if you just slap a huge turbo you will blow the headgasket then when you change the headgasket run way lean and blow a hole in the piston I've seen Civic engines and tank engines in pieces they aren't what I would call tank-like, the internal componentry is actually pretty small and looks delicate, like the arms of a woman

What happened to picking out a new vehicle?

Also whats the point unless you're going to gut the thing.... You slap that turbo on and go from what? 17secs to 14s then you start braking stuff?....... I dunno.... okay 16.7 [1996 Honda Civic DX 8.5 16.7 (C&D June, 96)]

    14 Seconds sounds perfect....

I am just tired of being in fifth gear and having no power until I am at 80 mph, only until 100 when I cant even go faster

When you are used to 16.7 it is....

The difference in 0-60 is mainly what I would feel.

Well you won't be getting real traction in first anymore.. 2nd gear is where its going to start pulling for the real fun!

Yeah 14s is real nice, you will be faster then most things on the road........... I just want a bit more because everyone and their mother has a mustang and they're trapping around 104......(Running 13.5).... The bar for what the general public has has been raised. Atleast on the stock turbo w/out meth or nos I will be able to push it to 110 trap w/ a few mods. (Trap speed is more of a direct reflection of HP then your ET.)

Oh also like the new Accords and Maximas n such those kind of sedans w/ their new v6s are pushing low to mid 14s.... That damn impressive for a grocery getting comfort on a road trip, your mom owns vehicle.
