V1 placement - Mercedes S55
I have a Valentine 1 hardwired, and currently I have it mounted high to the left of the rear view mirror.
I have a Mercedes S55 - and here is my issue. I really want a stealth location for the V1, as I want to leave it in my car all of the time, and obviously if it's exposed it can be a target for theft.
I'd love to hear your ideas - here are some of mine:
1.) Place it in the middle rear headrest like most people who do this. I'd want to keep the headrest view open because I really don't want to lose the laser detection. Is it still OK even in the back of the car if it has a straight line to the window?
2.) Make some special cover for the V1 and place it not in the headrest, but in the deck below the rear window.
3.) Maybe cut a hole in my sun visor, and put the V1 directly in the middle. That way it is integrated into the visor, and I can put the patch back to cover the V1 and make it seem like it integrates. Is that possible?
What other "stealth" options do I have?

Re: Advice on placement - Mercedes S55
Do you have a tint strip that the V1 hides behind? Placing the V1 in the rear of the car will make performance suffer. Personally I wouldn't do it. Or you could wait for the STi-R plus to come out.

In the bumper? How will the performance be? Won't it be too low?

Re: Advice on placement - Mercedes S55
Could you mount it somewhere in the engine compartment? Or in the lower bumper? Seems like it'd get hit with stone chips and water wouldn't it?
