Welcome to the RadarDetector.net online message board!

This forum is hosted by "Radar Roy", a retired police officer who is also a certified traffic radar instructor with over 20 years of Law Enforcement experience, and a consultant for RadarBusters.com.

In order to make this forum as friendly and informative as possible, we ask that you follow just a few simple rules:

    1) By registering as a member of www.radardetector.net (RD.Net), you acknowledge that you are not employed in any way by any law enforcement agency, any entity that enforces traffic law, any manufacturer and/or vendor of traffic and/or speed enforcement equipment.

    2) All materials, posted or linked must be PG-13. You are not permitted to post foul language, racial epithets, sexual or explicit content, insults, attacks on individuals, or references that degrade anyone based on their race, color, creed, age, or sexual preference.

    3) No post-count padding. To help curb spam, conserve bandwidth, and most importantly protect the members of RadarDetector.net we have instituted a feature that limits what guests can see, as well as new members. Take your time and contribute positively to the community, and you will reach your goal in time. Use this time to introduce yourself, explain what you hope to achieve from RadarDetector.net, and if you have been lurking for a while feel free to help a member out. If you try to circumvent this by posting a lot of pointless, one-line nonsense, or by complaining about the policies, you will be banned.
0 Posts = Ability to post in the Introduce Yourself Forum.
0 Posts = Access to URL, Images, & Attachments.
1 Posts = Ability to post on the rest of RadarDetector.net
15 Posts = The ability to post URL's & Hotlinked Images.
50 Posts = Access to The Lounge.

    4) Keep the discussion constructive. We welcome your constructive comments, suggestions, opinions, and reviews of all radar detectors and countermeasure products. Unsubstantiated comments and/or innuendos will not be tolerated. If you think a product sucks, give us facts to work with. But just saying “XYZ sucks” is not constructive, and we ask that you refrain from doing so.

    5) No trolling. "Hit and run" posts. This means no posting just to start trouble or controversy, or to bait others into argument or dispute. Obvious attempts to inflame passions or stir up trouble will get you banned.

    6) No personal attacks. This includes veiled insults, taunts, and threats. Attack the argument. If you are attacked first, it is your responsibility to report it to a Moderator or Administrator. Self-defense is no defense to this rule. You may both be banned.

    22) Read the stickies! There are “sticky” threads at the top of each forum section that contain essential information relevant to that section. This may include rules and policies specific to that section, as well as a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document to help you quickly find the information you are looking for.

    23) No taunting or baiting of manufacturers whether they be the countermeasure manufacturers or the manufacturers for the traffic enforcement industry.
