Is it worth it? I have a black 04 Grand Prix? I have heard that if you have a black car you dont need this

veil is needed on every car.

Especially if you only have a RD and no jammer.If you have a front plate get a laser shield. Veil is proven to cut laser detection range in half.Providing some reaction time if the officer shoots you from father away. Anything under 500 ft is useless and a jammer is needed.

Only if you had an old corvette c5 with flip down light might i reccomend you dont need veil.

Incorrect, Veil is a product which is not meant to be used on the actual (paint of the) car... veil is (normally) applied to highly relfective surfaces, such as headlights and Lisence Plates, where a LEO's LIDAR will have the easiest time getting a reading.

A black car is great with Veil, because not only will Veil cut down on the reflective surfaces of headlights and Lisence Plates, the black car will be much less reflective itself then lets say a silver car (its like the 1-2 punch on cutting down reflective targeting areas). (That said Veil will help and should be used as an effective countermeasure on the headlights and LP's of silver cars as well).


Some people have also Veil'd their (frontal) chrome, for the same reason as the LP and headlights.

well i do not have a front license plate and the only thing that would need i guess would be the front headlights? My Escort 8500 is mounted right under my tent strip so it will not get direct sunlight good or bad

Thats good for radar detection but lser detection on your x50 is useless.Only RD that can pick up laser everytime from the top of windshield is the v1.

If you are keeping your x50 and dont plan on getting either a jammer of v1, mount it low and put veil on. this will give you the best results from the x50"laser detection wise".

you apply it to your headlights and a plate cover.

if you have a black car and a good radar detector, veil is a life saver
