Just wondering if anyone has ever made an active jamming rig themselves, I have seen tones of sites where you can buy the 904nm diodes, and curious about others experiences. Would like to get more protection on a limited budget

Sure, it could be done. But if you're looking to do it in order to save money, it's not going to happen. There's a lot more to successful jamming than simply flooding the laser gun with IR. The jammer has to create pulses that the laser gun accepts at it's own reflected pulses, and each jamming pulse has to make it to the gun in a very narrow time window in order for this to happen.

Well if someone made a jammer themselves they sure better not post anything about it on this board because manufacturers get sue happy for 'patent infringment.'
