A 905 is a Escort Shifter without the control module. Here is a test of the Zr3 and Blinder: http://www.radarbusters.com/support/product-tests/active-laser-jamming-tests.asp

I am on the road till Monday, but if you call when I get back I can see about getting you a better price on either of them

I'm thinking for the future right now probably next year I have to see how many times i get hit with laser with my drive up to school and to VT. Right now i'm busy paying off my ECU upgrade, so i need to save up either way

with the LaserPro, since there is no control module, what do i do to turn it off after i have slowed down?

It's my understanding that it's indended to be linked to a Bel Vector 995 or Bel RX65 detector and tapping the mute button twice will disarm the jammer.

I could have sworn there was a BEL jammer that had a control module of its own. The head unit looked just like that of their previous generation of remote detector (915, 975R) except it had two buttons instead of four. Does anyone know what model that was?

Blinder is the ONLY route to go with. Unlike detectors, there is a clear cut winner is the Jammer wars and it is called Blinder!

The Bel 904 was a stand alone unit, the 905 has to be connected to either the RX65 or V995

The 904 is out of production

And a push of the mute button on the direct wire will stop the jamming?

I never bothered to test the Bel 904/905 because Escort and Bel are both the same company now. I figure that if I test the escort that should be good enough. It costs thousands to test these things guy! Laser guns are fricken expensive.

Laser guns are really pricey, specially in the EU. We had to come up with $5000 to get a used LaserPatrol lidar.

I would purchase a "Laser Patrol", but it would be an automatic debt for me because you can't resell it to cops in the USA. LTI would explode with lawsuits!

I am a real Passport fan, it has never let me down (SR1) over 6 years and I drive hard and often. I have seen V1's fail and they are rilldled with false hits IMHO. Anyway question ... can i make the 905 work woth the SR1? I know the ZR3 will, but I hesitate to screw with the 905's uplink wire to attach it to the SR1 (or even SR7 for that matter) ..... so in the event it cannot be done, can the 905 be used as a standalone, with a simple mute button somewhere? I really do not want to uninstal my SR-series units in my cars.

Okay, so I just had to tell you how weird this is! My only friend in Germany, Heinrich, died from suicide 2 years ago and out of the blue I was just thinking about him 5 minutes ago. I log onto radar detector.net to find a new member, you, by the name of Heinrich that just made a post for the first time.

what a coicidence.....

The 905 is not a stand alone. The 904 is.

i got an awesoome jammer last month from roy and has alredy saved mwe twice. the lp 905 with my rd 995v, makes for jamming easy. look at testing, the tests show the zr3 and lp905 both jam better in his tests and in reality, plus the fact when veil is added and another jammer in the middle, a better chance is going with the zr3 or lp905 with a third jammer to use in front or rear? all the other results, shows lp905/shifterzr3 does better than blinder.
