Hi there. I am new on this site & I am currently running a V1 with Pop upgrade. Anyway if I am not mistaken I have sent it back to V1 for the upgrade like a year or so ago. Any advice for added protection pertaining to laser???

If you go to the Guys of Lidar website that is listed at the top of that chart it will have full explanations of the tests they performed but basically green is good and red is really bad.

I will make it very simple, based off 2 budgets:

Under $500: Blinder M25, Veil G4, LS Combo-Pack off RadarBusters.com
Over $500: Laser Interceptor Dual Head

The best thing to do is hang out for awhile and familiarize yourself with the forum. Read through the posts and try to get an understanding of what's going on. The search function at the top is very helpful also. When I first got here I basically whined and cried about getting tickets, eventually you'll get the hang of this place. Researching before you ask is the best way to learn about this equipment and what is best suited for your application.
If you are serious about adding laser protection, you need to ask yourself these questions;
1.) Are they legal where I live and if not am I willing to risk it?
2.) What type(s) of gun(s) they use where you live is also important.
3.) What kind of investment in $'s and time are you willing to put up.

I do not recommend throwing one of these devices on your car and saying, "Ok fine now I'm protected." YOU WILL WANT TO TEST YOUR EQUIPMENT TO MAKE SURE IT IS INSTALLED AND OPERATING PROPERLY.

i will break it down for ya from left to right on the grid
Laser Interceptor
Very good jammer manufactured in Croatia
This unit not only works well but ranks way high on my cool $hitometer it will identify the gun and has a voice alert that tells you what kind of LIDAR gun has just targeted you. It also has a parking sensor function
the system can be upgraded for new guns if they need a update
This is a Laser diode based system

Next in line the Laser Pro Park is sold and marketed as a "Parking Sensor" and not a laser jammer it comes from the UK where it is illegal to posses or sell laser jammers.
So if you live in a state where Jammers are illegal it would be a nice unit to have
Also it is a funtional parking sensor as you get close to the wall it beeps at you.
There is a USA distributor i am a little partial to them. It has a radio mute and will mute your stereo when the parking sensor is beeping or "laser interference" happens. When targeted the unit throws minimal if not any jam codes on the new version
the system can be upgraded for new guns if they need a update
This is a laser diode based system

after that
Blinder made in Denmark "the country" it is a LED based system so it is a less expensive unit than the others
a more bang for the buck as GOL had named it.
This unit is sold by Radarbusters and is a decent jammer.

Laser Mask is a made in Taiwan model a LED based system looks alot like the blinder. In the box you will find a Cool Zorro mask along with the system.

ZR4 Bell Escort frankenstien thing of a jammer
CINCINNATI MICROWAVE's exclusive "link" design allows you to connect the SHIFTER ZR4™ to select ESCORT radar detectors (Passport 9500i Blue, Passport 9500i Red, Passport 8500 X50 Blue, Passport 8500 X50 Red, Passport 8500, Cordless Solo S2 and Passport SR7) Beltronics radar detectors (RX65 Blue, RX65 Red, STi, Vector 995, Vector 965, Vector 955, Vector 940)
IT will link up to your bellscort thats the cool thing its 550 bucks and works good on a Truspeed thats all the good things i have to say about it.

LaserStar
is a Laser Pro Park rip off that uses Laser Pro Parks old software that doesnt work the greatist with their own jammer head design im sure sience it uses LPP softwate it has a parking funtion. And also the old LPP software threw jam codes like crazy. E04 E03 Ja-3 and kitchen sink.
The US distributor has good videos but the GOL testing showed diffrent.

Over Sea Prototype

(looks bad)

Not if it takes you to an Unauthorized Dealer who says his LI has a Warranty and Free Upgrades when in fact and warned as such by Ivan, it does not.

Basically the laser jamming industry can be quite confusing and not all inclusive. The laser interceptor described in the guys of lidar chart are a mere picture in time and are not all inclusive in making up the real picture. I have numerous laser interceptor devices that will not work for whatever reason sitting in my house and the dealer refuses to replace these. They have a short life span and are not always worth the time money and investment for jamming lidar a few times depending on where you live.

Bottom line is "laser interceptor" is a work in progress and has alot of warranty and reliability issues.

You are as ever Cliff a gentleman and an intelligent one at that. There's 2 very good reasons why you will undoubtedly succeed where Psycho Alonso failed.

I couldnt wish you any more success than you already are having.

And Allen, I forewarn you that if you push Elvis The Unstable, await some very unpleasant PMs. The guy is certifiable.
