so i have been looking for a laser jammer for quite some time, however the only reason ive been looking for so long, is because i have a budget. if i didnt have a stupid budget i would have LI's on Josephine right now. anywho, i found a zr3 shifter on amazon for 239.00 bucks brand new. i also plan to get veil. i dont need JTG. just something to protect me up to 400ft or 500ft.. i drive a f150(black paint, no chrome, and i do have front license plate).. im going to be driving north dallas almost all of the time.(george bush turnpike, dallas N. toll, central expr.) i dont know what kind of laser they use though. do ya'll think this will be a good setup. im also considering lasermask(379.00 buck)..

if you are considering the laser mask at that price, I would go with the blinder over it. Not only does the blinder have a better guarantee from an established company it is also a better jammer.

I think for that price, it's a 4 head LM vs only a 2 head Blinder.

As for the Zr3, you'd definitely have to set it up in the enthusiast install. What year F150 is it? Either way, I'd put the rear head right above the front plate, while placing the other 2 as close as possible to the headlights. With the newer (and 09s) F150s, you have to worry about those huge headlights, so keep that in mind.

Sorry no way a zr3 is going to protect a truck. I think with your tight budget a 4 head laser mask would be better.

The ZR3 won't cut it on any F150. At the very least you need to use a two head blinder preferably a four head setup. You might also need to stick a lexan plate cover over the front plate with some VEIL on it.

No matter what you use once it's set up you need to stay on top of your alerts, slow down to the PSL and turn the jammer off. It looks very suspicious for large vehicles to throw up blanks and errors on lidar guns. Especially the PL3.

ive got a 07 f150..ask for the headlights, they are aftermarket black..ask for the front plate, i do plan to cover and veil..i have no problem cutting my grill for the heads. the blinder m-25 would be nice, but it only comes with the 2 heads. i could get the blinder m-25 and buy two more heads later, if anyone know exactly how much each head is, that would be cool.. i would definately be getting the four head lasermask, but am unsure about the whole company. the zr3 or even the zr4 i am unsure of the coverage..now with the zr3/4 could i add extra heads later..(i would definately put the rear head on the zr3 on the front)

$150 for each blinder head. The zr4/3 is only a 3 head system (two heads front and one rear) it is not upgradeable.

You also don't want to put the rear head up front on the ZR4.
ZR3 it's ok, but your asking a lot from a little jammer.

The Blinder is probably your best bet for the price.

Won Hunglo was JTGing all over the place two weeks ago with his four head Blinder on his Chevy Silverado, he also runs a state issue plate up front but seals it with 3M protective film.

seals it with 3M protective film.#M protective film doesn't add protection...SLOWa$$ had it on his rear plate and it was the same reflectiveness

LaserShield cuts the reflectivity

With or without the #m tape, it was JTG every time, I could never get any readings...

Won did not present the3M film as anything more than a curious attempt to get something between his plate and the lidar gun. He didn't suggest it did anything. I'm sure it was the Blinder doing all the work. I just didn't want to post my experience shooting his truck without noting that the plate wasn't naked, he had something on it.

I own two ZR3's and one ZR4. I think they are great jammers for the money.

However, I would not try to protect a full-size truck with one.

For your vehicle, I would get an LI.

SRX = Magnum RT (I know it's almost a truck, but it's dark.)
ZR3 = 350Z
ZR4 = Scion tC

The Breeze's ZR4s on his Jeep Grand Cherokee performed pretty well, but he combined the jammer, with Veil and a bra.

I was just working on a multi quote post, but you beat me this. I have to disagree with the guys that say the ZR3-ZR4 will not work on this guys truck. I think they will do a stellar job if he veils his lights. CFL #8 proves the rear head up front increases the jamming qualities of the escort shifter with no unforeseen problems as well. I have been running my ZR4 jammers this way and have experienced no problems at all. I would not hesitate installing an Escort shifter in an enthusiast setup if I were you. Be sure and Veil the lights and be aware that the Laser Atlanta could be a problem if that gun is used in your area. Just my 2 cents.
