I am in the market for a laser jammer to protect our family car...2004 Ford Focus Sedan (Beige Metallic) with a front plate. I had a buddy email me a ad from CL which he saw and he knew I was looking for a laser jammer.

It is a Escort ZR4 for $200 and he says its a month old and in the box. So I did some video researching and came up with these. I want a new Blinder M45 but maybe this would do just fine...maybe...maybe not.

Laser guns used in my area...PLIII, ProLite, LTI 20/20, Marksmen and the TruSpeed.

Isnt the Blinder better then this against these older guns? Is that a older ver. of the M25?

Overall, the Blinder is a better performer than the ZR4. The ZR4 does jam the TruSpeed very well, while the Blinder seems to struggle. The Blinder beats the ZR4 on just about every other gun though, especially the Stalker, where the ZR4 basically does nothing. In my opinion, both jammers would need the help of Veil to provide consistent, reliable protection.

$200 for ZR4s that are almost new?

"A fool and his money are soon parted" comes to mind, but more importantly, I wouldn't buy used equipment from anyone unless I knew them personally.

As for the substance of your question; I wish I could help. I have the ZR4s and like them, but Blinder seems just as good when I shoot it.

Yeah...great point...I was wondering why he is trying to sell it so soon. Maybe he got a ticket and wants too dump it off.

Doesnt the newer Blinders jam the TS very well?

Doesnt the newer Blinders jam the TS very well? No, but combined with properly applied Veil, category4 got very good results on his truck with the Blinder. Without Veil, the Blinder vs TruSpeed results have been pretty much awful.

Blinder does have a version that it is now shipping that has a Truspeed update but has yet to be tested by any independent test group from this forum. I can tell you from experience that if it hasn't been tested by forum mbrs then it doesn't exist...I am confident it will do well but we shall see.

Ok...thx..I understand that if its just being shipped it will get in the hands of testers. I will sit back, learn and wait for independent results. I just hope they are on the same par as your last tests in your video's.

It is already in the hands of testers..I know for a fact that CFL has one but has not tested it.

We should be testing in the next couple weeks (hopefully), waiting on some things...

No :( Spring break starts this weekend for us, so at least I am going to be a bit busy. Plus, as I said, we're waiting on a couple things...

My old Blinder M25 does quite well against the Truspeed, especially since I added Veil to the headlights.

If I was going to pick between the 2 (and I have both) it would be the Blinder.

If I was going to pick a video to believe in it would be from someone that was not selling them. Even if the video is 100% on the up and up there is still a vested interest there so you can't be 100% sure. There are plenty of videos on this forum from people testing their equipment in real world scenarios to help you make a decision.
