Has anyone installed their Blinders or Z4s behind the grill and actually tested the performance difference from an outside mount?

There is no performance to test when you mount behind the grille.

Time for plan B.

interesting/wierd thing is that the official installtion instructions from Escort found here : http://www.escortradar.com/videos/P9500ciInstallVidR.wmv

Says that it's okay to mount behind the grill but to make sure to "give prirority to the recievers". I watched it a while ago so I don't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure that the demo installation in the video is done behind the grill.

I don't think there's any question that mounting with a clear view is "clearly better". And that the peformance deteriorates when mounted behind the grill. But I guess the question is still valid as to how badly is performance affected.

Mounting any jammer head behind the grille can easily result in feedback from the emitters into the detectors.

I have been saying time and time again that there has been a performance test by myself!!!!

And there was also a test done by hockey005 and Pmoth. Also some member did it against someone's GTR with a zr4

Jammer heads do NOT work when they are mounted behind grills .

It destroys the performance
