Ok guys, as I await for the AL6 to be released I started thinking....according to Sethy it's gives all kinds of jam codes. Now, I know it's shocking but the anus state is in the process of making jammers like everything else under the sun ILLEGAL.....

Let's say when one of the IPS asswholes gets a jam code until it shuts down and they stop me what can they do to determine if I have one? Any thoughts? I can just tell them no to a search....

Jammers give some kind of code on the Stalker and the Ultralyte. I've seen it on Blinder Xtreme, Escort ZR3, Lidatek LE30, Antilaser AL6.

Laser jammers have all kinds of codes ie Beam Interrrupted, Target Outside Range or Panning Error etc. I suspect cops see these codes all the time and basically ignore them or dont remember which is which.

The cop manual I have for the 20 20 doesnt even mention jamming codes

Now as these next generation jammers become more common the codes may get a closer look but I'll bet the codes arent accurate enough to pull people over for searches.

Its going to be critical that you slow down and turn off the jammer quickly but thats nothing new for many of us anyway.

Just my observations todate

Effective Date: 1/1/2006. Here is a reminder from your friends in Illinois.

Sec. 12-613. Possession and use of radar or laser jamming
devices prohibited.
(a) Except as provided in subsection (b), a person may not
operate or be in actual physical control of a motor vehicle
while the motor vehicle is equipped with any instrument
designed to interfere with microwaves or lasers at frequencies
used by police radar for the purpose of monitoring vehicular
speed.
(b) A person operating a motor vehicle who possesses within
the vehicle a radar or laser jamming device that is contained
in a locked opaque box or similar container, or that is not in
the passenger compartment of the vehicle, and that is not in
operation, is not in violation of this Section.

"No you may not search my car" and repeat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(c) Any person found guilty of violating this Section is
guilty of a petty offense. A minimum fine of $50 shall be
imposed for a first offense and a minimum fine of $100 for a
second or subsequent offense.

LMAO!! Where else (except D.C.) are federal crimes $50.00 and a petty
offense.
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

(d) The radar or laser jamming device or mechanism shall be
seized by the law enforcement officer at the time of the
violation. This Section does not authorize the permanent
forfeiture to the State of any radar or laser jamming device or
mechanism. The device or mechanism shall be taken and held for
the period when needed as evidence. When no longer needed for
evidence, the defendant may petition the court for the return
of the device or mechanism. The defendant, however, must prove
to the court by a preponderance of the evidence that the device

or mechanism will be used only for a legitimate and lawful
purpose.

Once again LMAO!! I need it for GOL testing in Ohio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(d) A law enforcement officer may not stop or search any
motor vehicle or the driver of any motor vehicle solely on the
basis of a violation or suspected violation of this Section.

I love that. Plus the jammers are all built-into the car, so they aren't in the passenger compartment. Only the speaker and LED.

Just buy a hood-mounted tachometer like on Pontiacs from the 60's, put the LED in there and put an old siren from a car alarm instead of the speaker... :D

What about a decoy? I have an old fuzz buster I could dress up with the words " World's First Real Radar and Laser Jammer". If that doesn't work, maybe a PHAZER II would do the trick. Everyone knows that those are radar and lazer scramblers. I can hear it now on XM. Phazer II, now illegal in 12 states and counting. Let's review. Jammer ticket $50. Phazer II $30. Real ticket $300 plus points.

You know you may be onto something with that decoy idea. I have 2 heads I am no longer using from a m20. Maybe I should mount them on the truck and if I do get stopped I could always hope they fall for that.

I guess the worst case, would be to be caught off guard. Then you get the speeding ticket and the jammer ticket. At least you could keep the real jammer by giving up the decoy.

Just jam them till you get down to the legal speed then turn the jammer off....They won't know what happen

That's what i did with my M20. But doesn't the AL6 shut down after 5 seconds of jamming?

The proto did. We will know more when the consumer model is released...in two more weeks.

The AL6 does not shut off after 5secs, it will jam until there is nothing left to jam. If you get hit with laser just slow down and turn it off problem solved and if they get a reading odds are they wont pull you over!

Are we certain of this guys?

Although the one we tested was unlimited, I seem to remember someone on the Antilaser team posting that the commercial version of the firmware stopped jamming after 7 seconds...

AL did post that it's jammer cuts off in 5 seconds but their videos show JTG shots from their site.

From my questions asked i heard a full JTG, which is the only AL i'd bye

i would like 10-12seconds of jamming

Mackid343
11-30-2005, 08:50 PM
i thought there is a way to set it for unlimited or for a set amount of seconds... why would anyone want one taht jams for 5 seconds and shuts off. what if you didnt slow down fast enough? then you'd be screwed

I hope it's like that Sethy. I have the radio up loud sometimes and would have to have it take 6 seconds to get my attention and then bam....screwed.
