But there are three provinces down there where RD's are legal..
also you could use the redline or sti in the provinces that they are illegal in....as they are undectable by Rd detectors.

Truckers and other motorists are as harmful to you, as a LEO, that is my observation.
Sometimes your ennemies are those closest to you. My 2 cents.
So true ....some people could be jaleous of your freewill ... so they call the cops to slow you down ....
citizens state could be worse than police state ....the wolf inside the house !

Honestly, not a fun job to be a cop.
It can be sometimes! :D :D What was your LEO-co-operative work 20 years ago?
...(truckers) can provide the cops with information....what pisses me is that they do it so that they can be treated more leniently by the same cops. In other words, they are selling you out for their own benefits. And that's worse than the cops.No offense, but this sounds like a crock to shyte to me. I don't disagree that truckers/4-wheeler drivers can call speeders in; I hear it occasionally on the scanner. But truckers getting a benefit/leniency for doing it regularly doesn't gel. I've never met or worked with any LEO or heard one anecdotal story about this. As far as your last statement about it being worse than the cops, the fact is that real LEOs running I/O and laser are much more of a real threat than the very slim chance of getting called in by a trucker. They (or their runner ahead of them) are more likely to "shake it" and "give you a scare" if you drive fast and/or cut around them as they poke along in the LL.

More pleasant to speed down south in states where there is no agreement with Ontario.
Unfortunately, my friend, there IS an agreement with Ontario, Michigan and NY. Quebec has agreements with NY and Maine. Be careful speeding through these areas if you're from Ontario or Quebec!!!

Regarding truckers, there is more than one way to skin a cat, so I'm not going to expand any further. Each one is free to believe what he/she wants. Another factor to take into account is geography. Some areas are more prevalent to certain attitudes/behaviors.
Regarding my involvment with LEAs, wiretaps in relation to all criminal activities. Also did other works which I won't expand about.Interesting. The admin telcom side? The install side? Maybe you were even more hands-on and the actual gig? haha ~jk~ Anyway, wiretaps and listening devices are pretty cool stuff. Most people would probably be surprised to know what really goes on in that regard, and just how many LDs and tracking devices are out there.
Re the truckers, whatever but I still don't see the relevance, whether up there or down here.

Regarding wiretaps, technology has changed a lot during the last two decades. The awareness of how little privacy you have can be quite a shock. If only people knew, they wouldn't behave the same way. Completly agree. Be carefull what you say over the phone. Big brother is listening. I was involved with all aspects of the operations.
On a similar note, there is absolutely no privacy whatsoever when using the internet, but many are totally oblivious to this fact.O, I'm well aware. I found out the hard way. You really have Zero privacy on the internet.
Let's forget about the truckers, I'm not interested to start a debate. Thank you.
REd.
Now back to the truckers.... I enjoy listening to them.

Yes, I am aware of the states which have an agreement with Ontario and Quebec. Actually, if I'm not mistaken, it makes more than two decades that Quebec and Ontario have agreements with a very few states. Fortunately for me, I travel way down south. But don't think that I drive like a fool just because the only penalty is a monetary fine. I very much love the U.S. of A. and it would be highly disrespectful to behave like a fool in a country where I am a guest. What I enjoy the most, is the freedom. Contrary to Ontario and Quebec, you can buy a r.d. and you are left to use it to your discretion. I don't like countries where they take away your rights little by little.
No disrespect meant. I agree though with your statement about rights being stripped little by little. I believe another member here said it right - the OPP is like judge, jury and executioner on the roads up there.
