Guys, when you received your Veil, make sure the lid is OK before you shake it!!

I just received Veil and LS today by UPS. Great product indeed, I guess it's my bad luck, I've got the one with a bad lid. As I open the seal, shake the bottle. Veil spilled on me like there's no tomorow!!

To add to the frustraction, the printing on the bottle smears off and now I have red, white and black colors on my hands and hours of clean up in my garage.

I've already e-mail roy at his sales and e-mail on the forum, forwarded a copy of e-mail to Bob. I hope they can do something for me caz I lost 1/2 a bottle just on the spill.

Here's some pic for those who wants to see the mess...

I received an e-mail from Bob, he would arrange things with Roy. I have not yet heard from Roy tho.

In the mean time, here are some pics after applying (can't really see the streaks on the pic):

Guys, is it suppose to look "smoked" like above? I was thinking it would be clear... anyways.. Fogs are done as well!

This was how my headlights looked before Veil:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y246/killer23d/Axela/drl_disabled1.jpg

I spray painted my dealer's plastic license frame (used to have huge white letterings) and the mounting screw black to reduce my attractiveness to laser guns. Using the black frame also reduced the targeting area of my plate, so the cops will focus on the headlights and probably will trigger the detector when it happens.

Looks like you did an awesome application job...very nice, indeed.

Nice looking vehicle, too.

You bet ya...Roy and I will see to it that you are made whole, again.

As much as we try to control the quality of the packaging, once its out of our hands and into the commercial shipping services...its out of our hands.

PM me your shipping address and will get another container out to you.

I hope to hear a good lasering experience from you now that you're stealth!

Seth,

BTW, how did your trip work out for you? Did you encounter any laser?

Unveileivable experiance! (did you catch that?) rather expensive to apply almost a whole can to a front of a vehicle, it paid off. 2 laser encounters, one was a guaranteed ticket. the other was iffy. (75 in a 65)

My car is a 04 model, couldn't call it "new". However, I keep it in "mint" condition even my mom is complaining about my 7 hours date with my car in her garage. Ya... I need to wax the car soon... I was too busy lately.

I like Dilip's yellow Mazda6 more.

Bob, I will PM you my shipping addy in Vancouver.

Hey! WOWWWWWWWWWWWW! That looks freaking amazing! You really did an excellent joB! Why was my job so bad compared to everybody else's? It seems like you don't have any streaks at all.

I like the colour of your mazda 3, my old 626 was the same colour too. What engine size do you have on it?

I"m also interested to know what did you use to put on the veil? did you use the brush that came with it? or did u use some other method?

Further more, did you do it just like the veil video?

Also i'm very intersted to know how does your HID's look at night with the veil on. Is the beam pattern diminished and not as bright?

Roy and Bob are very good people and they have the top customer service.

I am planning on re-veiling my car using a new method nvr2fast devised, but the only thing stopping me is that my HID gets really really dim with the veil on. I decided i can't afford drive-smart.

Maybe we can meet up sometimes and i'll let you re-apply VEIL on my headlights!! I'm in Delta, can meet anywhere in lower mainland :)

I have streaks on there  , but they are just not as noticible unless you view it very closely. My friend says my headlights looks "Sand-blasted, and yellow with age". This try is my 3rd try here. So I have little Veil left after the accident.

I am using the costmetic wedge sponge as someone mentioned here. The pores are fewers but they sure suck up more Veil.

Dilip: My car is the typical Canadian Mazda3 with the MZR 2.3L 160hp. HID is aftermarket by Xtec 6000k. Yes, my HID is dimmer after VEIL, but it looks whiter caz of the purple tone.

Go.Mouse: I am in Richmond. I can't really say how much I hate to put VEIL on caz they are a pain. Unless I have to do it again, I wouldn't want to do it. One tip is that you should get those wedged costmetic sponge. I got them in SuperStore for $2.99. I just dip it in, let it suck up some Veil and go steady with it.

Next time let's order VEIL together. I live 2 min drive from Point Roberts, WA and it should save some on shipping. Only $2 usd to pick something up there.

Wow you have a 2.3L on your car? Here in HK the mazda 3's only come with the 1.5 Litres. It's strange that your 2.3 Litre is 160 hp. My mazda 6's 2.3L mzr engine is rated at 178 horsepower.

anyhow....Re: your HID's, does the beam seem diffused? You know before veil you can see the lights very clearly and it is sharp, the edges of the lights are very visible when you shine it against the roadside and against walls. How is it now? does it look blurry?

Is it possible to post a picture of that sponge that you used?

arr.... after a car wash today.. I see VEIL chips on my light. They are just very little so I am not going to re-do it. I dun think I have enough Veil until I receive a replacement from Bob anyways.

Dilip, my HID is aftermarket add-on. I dun see much of a difference after Veil is on except it makes my lights more purple. I will have the pic up for the sponges I used later.

Here's the pic you are looking for, Dilip. Sorry I took this with my toy 1.3MP Fuji.

As you can see, the HID beam pattern is still ok.

killer23d,

OK. I have arranged with Roy to have a make-good on your damaged shipment.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Have a nice Easter weekend.

I had the trouble with the lid being screwed down nice and firm yet it still leaks. I think there needs to be a more rubbery seal disc under the cap so it seals better or something..... Stained a good wooden table thanks to the leak.....

Will alcohol help clean that up? I always use gloves and handle VEIL outdoor....

No it doesn't help and to be blunt I wasn't handling it - the lid was screwed down and it fell over on the table (bumped) then it leaked.

That looks quite good, but i can't tell much from the pic. But i'll take you word for it when u say you can't notice much of a reduction in the light output. But I meant from the driver's seat.

I think i'm gonna re-do veil on my car real soon......

Let us know how you do against laser encounters!

P.s. any pic of the sponge you used?

i just wanted to add to this thread that i had my veil stored up side down for months (i thought the box was right side up) and not a drip leaked out. i opened it, unsealed it, close it and shook it around quite a bit, and again, not a drip came out. probably some human error invovled with this whole veil setup as my can seems to do the job.

hey thanks for posting the pic of the sponge! i'll try that soon!
