I decided to paint my motorcycle plate today (Missouri State Plate) it has came out so dark. I will see if it lightens up after it dries. I painted the plate and have put a fan on it to dry inside. The plate is so dark that I had to remove the Veil from the year sticker and the month sticker show it shows up.

I am betting that the Veil even after 24 hours will be too dark on the plate. My worries are that It will be too dark for an officer too. Makes it great to prevent police from reading the numbers however if you are stopped at a light and a leo comes up behind you he might want to bother you!

At night I doubt it would be an issue due to headlights illuminating the plate through the Veil. Making it only appear slightly darker. Also if a leo pulled me over in the dark and shined the spotlight on the back of the bike, it would almost look slightly dark and might fool a leo.

The straight daylight is my worry. I am not even sure if removing the Veil and placing a clear cover coated with Veil would work.

Missouri Licence Plates may have an anti Veil type color coating

Well the Veil is so dark it makes the Missouri Licence Plate almost Black. The white parts are very very dark and the green is really black.

In the sunlight the plate looks as if desiel exhaust has coverd the plate however it can still be seen. What a disapointment. :?

Do they make one that small???

1.you can cut it holein1, its not diamond we're talking about here, its plastic.

2.and another option is:
http://www.radarbusters.com/products/photo-radar/Laser-Shield.asp

also go there and look for yourself, you can enter the size: "Enter size: (mm)"
so with that said hopefully you can figure out the rest

I believe that is for international plates only were they are much wider than U.S. plates. You can probably call them up and ask if they carry shields for motorcycles.

what would make you think that? the pulldown menu of countries right above it? apparently thats obvious, my point was that they just don't come in one size

again, its just a plastic material that can be cut
