Default I _LOVE_ my new RX65 from Roy!!!

Roy cut me a great price and it came just when it should, and I just love this baby! It's so quiet, almost NO falses and I even have Ku plus POP turned on!! I love the tech mode: I am memorizing the K-band door frequencies (Safeway?!) and if I ever see a different freq at that site I'll know it's more than a doorway...

Plus, the other mode is cool too how it can track up to three simultaneous threats and show their power levels. And it's easy enough to even program while I'm driving (Shhhhh!) :)

I decided to upgrade from my still functional, but very outdated, Bel 870. Whatta little trooper he was (and is) but I wanted Ku band and better filtering...boy, I got it too!

Too bad the Blinder system won't just plug in to the RX65. I think Bel's laser solution is too $pendy...

    Thanks again Roy!!!!

    mushu,
Is it possible to check which version your RX65 is like X50 & V1?
Hold all three buttons then turn it on.

You are one smart cookie to be using frequency display and understanding how to make the best of that feature. I don't know why other people can't figure it out as it is really pretty easy to use. It just take a little hand on,or eyes on approach... Good for you. I use it all the time and it's absolutely wonderful..! 8)

Grrrr...I knew I should have listened to my momma when she told me to never believe anything on TV. I'm sure she would have said to never believe anything from the Internet too! I forgot, holding down all three at power-on resets the detector back to factory specs. :( Not a big deal, but shame on you for taking advantage of a poor little pitiful newbie like myself...

I would, actually, like to know what version of firmware is installed in it. I bet there is a secret "code" to hold the buttons a certain way to find out. Since there's four buttons, that equals about, ummm...15 different combinations. I think. Been too long since Stats class. Got a 'D' for Degree in it too, as I recall.

Hold down the 3 buttons (mute, Dark, City/HWY) while holding them turn the unit on. It will reset it to default and will give you a display saying REV and a number.

Hmmm, didn't for me. It only printed RESET in caps, then cycled through the POST. I'll try it again....

If it said reset, it might not give you a REV #. Sorry I own the X50 and didnt know if they were able to do the same test on the RX65. I dont know for sure, pm Happa$$, he owns one and can tell ya

Yeah it works for the RX-65: Hold down City and Brt while powering it on.
