Update RX65 version??

Sorry as I'm sure this question has been asked, but is there a way to update the version of an RX65? Do I have to buy a new detector? I have version 2.9, is there a performance difference between this and the newest version 4.5?

Oh my lord yes...

Pop filter is better. It now does not drive me crazy.
Range for Ka is increased
X band range is increased.
I had the 3.2 firmware.
I believe new firmware is 6.1. It is unknown what it fixes.

I run mine in Ka USA mode only.
This increased my Ka detection.

incorrect. 2.9 is the newer then 4.5 The 4.5 version is without the m4 antenna. Version 4.5 is the highest version with the older antenna. The newest version with the M4 antenna is the 6.1

Dont' kill me for asking this question but I did search for this but no real results.

How do you check for software version and what should I look for to tell me which antennae mine has?

I have sent mine in twice(last time was 3 weeks ago) due to major falsing on Ka, K, POP and Laser. All under warranty and both times they said adjusted antenna, repaired laser circuitry. They have never stated updated software. So I would like to see if this was an oversight.
