Bel 895 or escort 8500 x50

(without money being an issue)If you had a choice between the Bel 895 or the Escort 8500x50 which would you buy?

X50 ALL THE WAY.i have had both in the past when i frist bought the 895 i was really happy but when i bouhgt the x50 i was SUPER happy!!! :wink:

Is the X50 $100 better than the 895? If yes, why? I have never owned an X50 so I am curious.

that's what i thought.

I work part-time a major electronics store. I forgot we sell RD and they have the Escort 8500x50 for a great price.

i thought it was a no-brainer but i just wanted to see what you guys thought.

ok a few answers why i pick the x50 over the 895 is cause #1 reason is that the x50 can track up to 2 k band,2 ka and 4 x bands and show the signal streanth of each radar at the very same time as for in radar range they are neck and neck.laser i say the x50 bye a little.

Well if the rx65 is supposedly neck and neck with the X50, then I do not see why everyone would bother with the rx65 if the 895 can do the same job as the rx65... or for that matter 995... the 895 is crippled by some degree, obviously not alot, but as like many things in marketing, to get that extra edge of performance you have to pay alot. In this case he X50 does out perform the 895 no question. This is not the same as comparing a 795, 895, or a 955 to each other. You have a top of the line detector X50, and its equal is supposedly rx65. And on the Bel line up the 895 is far down the list from the rx65. Obviously for that $100 dollars not only better performance but other features are accounted for.

I sugjest to buy buy both bro and then let me know what you think. x50 and 895 are neck and neck in range its harsh to hear the truth sometimes.

also the rx65 got love the usa mode right.but when sett on normal ka internat mode then they pretty much are neck and neck alll of them.

OK, that makes sense. I forgot about Expert Mode. They have a Tech Mode too. Not to mention the blue display option, which I happen to like.

I would say neither one. Get a Bel RX65 instead. After my inconsistent Ka band experiences owning a Escort X50 Rev 5, I don't recommend the X50. Could be just my luck because other people swear by the X50, but I have had 3 X50's because the first 2 were sent back due to being defective. The Bel STi, RX65 and older no longer sold Escort 8500 are great detectors though!
