    Default Hardwire RX65?

Hey guys, just got my Bel RX65 from Radar Roy today (top notch customer service/seller!). Anyway, I have a V1 in my other car that I am used to, shocked at how nice and quiet the RX65 is! I love it after only one day.
I was debating picking up the Direct Wire kit, and getting it hardwired. I am not a technical guy when it comes to an installation like that. Who does this, stereo install shops? What should I expect to pay? Thanks ahead of time...

Stereo install shops can do it, but if you have any electronics experience at all, or maybe even if you don't, just search google for "detector hardware install" and you'll come up with tons of guides.

Trust me, I would wind up getting the dash off, and not being able to get it back on. I havent called around for prices yet, just curious what you have paid? That is if any of you actually paid to install it and didnt do it yourself

Always a 1st time for everything. In the long run you will be saving more $$$. Once you learn you wont ever have to have them install anything else whether its a radio, CB, or scanner. You can drive it without the dash if you cant figure out how to get it back on, im sure they would help you out.

Probably wonder why you are pulling up with no dash

    brian,

L33T_Hacksta had Best Buy install his for $25 (not including cable). But it's super easy, actually.... though if you're nervous about it go ahead and pay, see if they'll let you watch so you can see how easy it is for next time.

that is the only downfall, having to unscrew everything just to hide stupid wires
