Personally I would not shut off any Bands unless you are 100% sure no Police Department in your area is using that band,
Just think of how you would feel getting "Nailed" by some small Police Department that is still using X Band and you had X shut off on you Detector.

Or a resourceful State Trooper that decided to pull an old X Gun out of storage.......

I thought for years that there was no X-band used around me, but found it yesterday. You can never be too careful! Personally, I'm done shutting off bands. POP might be a different story, though. That all depends on whether or not the falsing is bad enough to make it useless.

I think Florida actually has a few SWS transmitters, so you might want to turn that on. No need to have Ku band on just yet.

As far as the FHP is concerned, only K and Ka band units have been bought or used since '95. I found this info online

15B-2.0081 Interim Minimum Design Criteria for Radar Units.
    Specific Authority 316.1906 FS.
    Law Implemented 316.1906 FS.
    History—New 7-12-82m Formerly 15B-2.081, Amended 1-1-90, Repealed 10-18-94.
15B-2.0082 Minimum Design Criteria for Radar Units.

    <removed some text>

    (2) All radar units used in this State on or after January 1, 1995
shall be designed to operate in the following frequency ranges as assigned by the Federal Communications Commission for operation of
    Doppler radar radio-location units.
    24.050 – 24.250 GHz (K-Band) (Common
    33.400 – 36.000 GHz (Ka – Band) Referrals)
The radar must have a Doppler audio operating in the range 300 Hz to
    4.0 KHz.

of course local folks could still be using X band.

In 04 the FHP got 204 Stalker Ka band units from Applied Concepts
In 03 the FHP got 39 units from Applied Concepts, model not specified

    City LoX

    Ka- ON
    K- ON
    X- ON
    Laser- ON
    SWS- OFF
POP- ON(unless the POP falses get annoying)
    Ku- OFF

On the highway use HIGHWAY mode and around town use City LoX if city has a bunch of X falses, otherwise run Autoscan
