E795 and laser??
[b]I have the Bel e795, and until today, have never gotten a laser alert. I was driving down the highway, and all of the sudden...laser goes crasy...no Leo. not 5 miles down the road..laser goes crazy again...and again no Leo. Anyone know what this could be???
Have you got a Bel 975 (in the titel) or a Bel 795?
Could be sunlight?
Is there an airport near by?

What's at an airport that causes laser alerts?
My 795 falses on laser from just about anything. Street lights, tail lights, driving into the sun, an old lady walking her dog. That's part of the reason why it's been sitting in my closet.
laser guidance systems.
I drive by an airport everyday and any bel I have ever owned will alert me to laser when I go by it.
The Bel/ Escorts are the only ones I have had that do that.
It's high-powered pulsed RF radar systems, I think they are used as wind shear sensors. Even though these systems aren't laser, they are powerful enough the very sensitive laser sensors (photodiodes) in the detectors detect them and interpret them as laser. I have had that happen to me before. I eventually found out that it was my cell phone that was setting off the laser alert. maybe its some kind of electrical device in your car.
