it should show 2 Ka lines or threats
The RX65 does not display multiple threats....the number shown next to K or X or whatever is the signal strength. It will show multiple bands and the strength of each, but not how many of those bands there are.....Originally Posted by richardboy316
The escort on the other hand does show the little lines next to the band...each line designates a threat.
it says it will show the # of threats, type of threat and level of threat. I have always thought that the RX65 is the same as the Passport 8500 X50 since they share the same software and hard for the internal's.
The RX-65 and X50 have different software, it is one major difference between the two. In "Threat Display" the RX-65 only displays the strength of one X, one K, and one Ka threat.
is that for ALL Bel units with Threat display or is it just the RX series?????Originally Posted by jimbonzzz
cuz I gotta say thats a hell of a gimp only 3 signals 1 per band, thats almost pointless
Yep that's pretty much how it works.
The advantage with the Bel is you have very easy to identify strength. Plus you can identify a new source, eg Ka radar and a K door opener, or even an X radar...
ill admit it took a little effort at first, but I can gauge signal strength real easy with my X50 now, I mean I just like the ability to be able to See 1 Ka band signal then another going up as the other one slowly disappears, if I have the Bel I see 1 signal, then it drops to a lower level then goes back up, Id think its the same signal traveling with me, when in fact its one LEO fading into yet another LEO, happens too often for me to countOriginally Posted by SmaartAasSaabr
why cant bel jst have it so the 65 can say KA 9 KA 2 X1
because id think it would take up too many LED pannels meant for the other bands, ive also wondered that for my X50 and that was the answer I gave myself.....since my X-band is off I have 3 full pannels that are unused (Except for with my scanning dot) I always wonder why it cant allocate more space for Ka and K band contacts, I guess its hard to separate those signals unlike with X I guessOriginally Posted by richardboy316
