Picked up the Bel v955 today

Ok, so maybe I have to save up, because I can't afford the Rx65, or V1 right now...but I sold my cobra, and whistler..and got the v955 today. I have read some very good reviews,...so hopefully it will be a good detector for me for now...let you all know once I have the chance to put it to use.

Hello jdreynss--

I have a 955 and posted about it a while back. It performed extremely well for me on my summer trip (3000+ miles).

I was very pleased with the range on KA (consistently .5 miles+) and K (consistently 1 mile+). It picked up a "Your Speed Is..." sign at 2.5 miles. Very minimal X band alerts while driving around urban areas. It paid for itself MANY times over. I ran it constantly in "Autoscan" mode and mounted it about 2 inches above the wipers, center of the windshield.

IMHO you would have to step up to the RX65 to outperform this RD. You cannot beat the performance for the price.

Ahojky, I from Czech republic and I don't know much English. You can here please write version firmware V995. I am bought V995 a week ago, was new original wrapt. I have firmware 2.8, but here on symposium writes firmware 3.5 or 4.6

Alright, so I just purchased the v955 yesterday...but desire got the best of me, and I returned it...and bought the v995. so..I guess I'll see how it goes
