Does anyone know how to determine which firmware/software version level your Beltronics RD is at ? And what date when it was manufactured on ? I have a new vector 895. Was just wondering.
Thanks

You won't find out when it was made unless you call Beltronics. To check the firmware plug the unit in and leave off. At the same time press pwr. cty, brt buttons look closely and you will see what version you have.Originally Posted by rockywoods
Thanks I will give that a try for the version level. And perhaps call Bel just to see when it was maded just for the heck of it.

Ok Leo68 I did the press pwr. cty, brt buttons and it sure did give me the version number. Thanks for the information. Turns out to be version 1.0. Does anyone know what the latest version is for the Vector 895? If there is a newer one...is it worth looking into finding a way to upgrade to it? Or if I have no problems then don't worry about maybe? Any gain in this area ?
Thanks

Your welcome best bet is to call Beltronics and ask for someone in the Tech department or engineering. One of the reasons they change the firmware is to reduce production cost? There may be other reasons like reducing false alarms. How old is your 895?
