RX65 Just arrived

Oh yeah!

I love the packaging of the unit. No cords to unwrap, twist ties, or tape. It just sits there all snuggled in the protective aluminum case. Sweet. I'm at work right now. I can't wait until lunch....

It should save you lots, I have one. Now I want a V1. The bell is nice but not what I expected. :?

Why do you want a V1 over the other detectors? What kind of driving environment do you live in? City or Highway?

2 hours commute on the tollway once a week. I drive a mustang cobra, the insurance is out of this world as it is. Figured i would run both. :roll:

Wow. It's hard to explain. It just feels awesome. It's loud, but not piercing. You actually get a sense of where the radar is in distance from your position and it gradually increases. Not steps. I love it. I don't have falses anymore.

Granted that was just a little drive around during lunch. I plan on taking it out on the interstate tonight.

The wife appreciates the fact that it's a male voice. She claimed to be jealous of the female voice of my old Whistler.

As a side note, Ka was set to International by default. I changed it to USA of course.

Because USA mode will miss certain frequencies (one being the stalker radar gun that is VERY popular). There is a reason why it is set to international by default
