Ka is not making 2x BEL550 rds to go off, unless you are keeping pressed the Ka button for over 30-40 seconds (I guess the oscillators are heated and the emitting frequency is changing) so I will definatelly use your "trick" for the Ka test. The rds are alerting K band on 24.170GHz and when K is pressed the rds show K on 24.125GHz.
Also, I have noticed the the V1 wouldn't go off too. So, since V1, which is a rd made for the U.S. standards and the Bel550 that was made for the E.U. standards, are not going off on the Ka test of the specific tester, I think the guys on the Target are having a technical issue.
I repeat, I have tested the Ka test with 2 different software revision Bel550 rds (4.8 & 5.1)
Where/How would one aquire such a toy??????/
where could i fiind a radar gun, say that if i was driving down the highway and i decided to shoot a car with a radar gun(that has a crappy detector), where could i find that at and how much???
just buy a bushnell..i got mine for 89 dollars..K-band and if u aimed right at the rd it and either quick trigger or hold down the trigger hard it reports ka

ive been there..all it does it show u the product..no area to buy that i can find..i just got tired and emailed the contact us email address
