Mute arrow
I have notice on my V895 that some times when receiving multi alerts X and KA that when I hit the mute button that sometimes the display will display an arrow pointing in the up position. I than hit the mute button again and than it displays the text word mute. The unit works great with no problems. Was just wondering if anyone else has seem this on their Beltronics RD's.
Thanks

As far as I know with my RX65 if you hold down the mute button for 3-4 seconds it will go past muting and adjust the volume going up first and then down and up again. If you hit the mute button quickly it mutes the alert, but hold it in for a couple of seconds and we are talking volume adjustment! That is for my RX65 I don't know about the V895 but I would think they function the same but who knows?

The BEL 995 has the same function as above, I questioned the arrow and number at first myself, but it is the volume control.

Yes, you are right. Thats what is going on. I must be holding the mute
button down to long. Funny, I should have realized that is what was going on....LOL....Oh well, live and learn. Life is fun that way.
Have a great day folks.

Yup, make sure the volume on your unit is all the way up now (that you know what is happening)... you may have unknowingly turned it down... its not a loud unit to begin with, let alone at volumes lower then Max.
