OK. So i just arrived at my destination after travelling 165 miles. Here is what I have to report.
The Rx65 never failed to alert to a radar source, and never failed to alert with enough time/range to slow down.
First alert was K band. This was OVER TWO HILLS and AROUND A CURVE- 1.3 miles on a stationary LEO running constant on.
Next, was an INSTANT ON K band encounter. Wad detected AROUND A CURVE .7 miles away.
Next was Ka band. RX65 alerted .5 miles around a curve to a Texas State Trooper moving towards me. I was able to slow from 90mph down to 60mph well before I had a visual of the trooper, and it would be a safe assumption that he was travelling 60mph as well, which would mean we were over 1 mile apart when the RX65 first alerted before the curve.
Next encounter was Ka around a curve, had .2 miles warning on a LEO who was moving towards me, he was probably .4-.5 miles away when RX65 first alerted. Given the angle of the curve and traffic, this was plenty of time for me to slow down to PSL, even though .2 doesn't sound like a lot.
I am VERY happy with these results, and look forward to the drive home Sunday.
Oh...and this is important- NOT ONE FALSE!!! Was on Highway mode the whole time.
