do he police in your area use laser guns or mainly radar guns?
do you have a laser jammer?
Are detectors legfal to own and operate in Italy?
BTW make sure Ka is set to international and KU is on
Spoiler: show
I think that with a jammer the position 3 should be the best as high as possible near to the mirror but without it position 1 recommended as low as possible on the windshield with suction cups.
Unfortunately in your country RD's aren't legal, that's why I suppose you to position your RX-65 near to number 2 on the dashboard with hook&loop fasteners because in this way you could remove it fast if neccesssary and suction cups on the windshield should be clearly visible from a longer distance for cops.
If the detector isn't legal I'd go with #3. Anything mounted to the dash is going to be in plain view, and putting something like velcro on the dash might result in some unwanted questions. (What else would you stick to your dash?) A detector mounted behind a tint strip and run in dark mode will maxmize stealthiness at a low cost with respect to performance. You might risk missing direct laser hits but you still have a remote shot at indirect alerts. A remote power cutoff switch would be nice if the authorities use Spectre.
Cell phone, just a little velcro square on the back of it should do to answer any questions.Originally Posted by brick
Have you actually tested that - tint strip vs no tint strip? I've been wondering about that for a while, but I just wasn't sure how much effect the tint really had.A detector mounted behind a tint strip and run in dark mode will maxmize stealthiness at a low cost with respect to performance.
Laser guns - radar etc...i'm opening a topic about that...Originally Posted by crazyVOLVOrob

is there any out there?
Photo radar, i'd say position 3, nice and high, clear view of road ahead.
