Default How can i tell it's performance?

OK so i am wondering if my Rx65 performs on K-band as it should. I have the bushell radar gun so i can do a test. The reason i ask is becuase i have heard that some of RX65's have bad K band. I also think that i should be getting better warnings then i am. On everythiong else however my detector works very well. Even laser it has alerted 3 out of three times. So what i am wondering is if someone could use the bushnell and see how far away they can get a reading when there is a mostly straight line radar to the RD.
    thanks

    Default if

If you are questioning the performance on your RX65, then do a reset and go thru and change all of your settings again.

If it even alerts to the Bushnell then the only way you could use it for a performance test is if you had another radar detector. The cops should have much stronger guns, so don't be suprised if the range on the bushnell is low.

Well the other day i went around a 90 degree turn heavy traffic and i got a K band warning the leo was only 4 cars ahead of me in the opposite direction when i got the alert. That seems like very bad performance. And he was running a dash mounted falcon K ban gun.

Besides working hard and being good to you mother, none

Reset the unit and go piggy hunting. If you still think the unit is not up to scatch, return it for a service.

What does it cost for a service? Mine is still under warranty. Could Roy or someone else perform this service?

Unfortunately Roy is not set up to calibrate the units, but you can send it to Bel since it is within warranty and all it should cost you is the shipping one-way.

Thanks for the reply. In my few encounters, the max range I ever got on instant on K is .25 miles. From reading other posts, some people got over 1 mile warning on instant on K, is that even reasonable? I am thinking of sending it in to BEL, but I never got any service required messages. Would they still take it if no error messages were displayed? What exactly would Bel do to it? Is there a certain number to contact them? I got my RX 65 from Roy, it is V 2.9.

    Sorry for so many questions.

    Default erorr range

i am getting the same performance out of mine rx65.
k band i can actually test against road signs and the .25 mile seems correct and dissapointing but these signs might be giving out a very low signal.
as to ka i have never gotten anyhing better than .4 mile
go thier website to get the number but don't tell then that you are getting poor results. you needto say that your rd detects nothing from more than 5 feet. otherwise they tend to give you greif .
