    Default RX65 6.1 laser detection?

I've been reading a ton of info about various models and i deciced to pick up a RX65 from Roy......i was wondering if the 6.1 version is better at laser detection then the previous versions.....I have mine mounted just above the dash in my wrangler and i'm wondering about the laser detection....of course i haven't come across any speed traps at all in the week or so since i got my RX65. :x

    Any info would be great....Thanks

Hey, nice buy mate and from Roy, you can't go wrong
As the version, i'm guessing nothing or minimal difference. It's basically technology moving forward ever so slowly just because it can. The RX65 is so darn good an RD anyway

The 65 is the worst at laser of the top three, the V1 being the best. I occasionaly get falses from new cars with laser cruise control on my Bel which i have mounted high and to the left of my RVM. Just to let you know!

Early reports are indicating that the laser detection of the 6.1 RX65 has improved over the 4.5, and internal photos do show a different laser section, but it's not known exactly where it stands on the totem pole now. Around X50 most likely.

I'd be happy with laser performance equal to the x50.......Thanks for the info....

it also depends on where you mount the radar detector...
high: better radar detection, less laser
low: less radar detection, better laser detection

but it should be noted that by the time it does detect the laser, its too late.

better invest in something nice like the blinder or escort shifter linked with the escort 8500 (although you can choose any other radar detector)

I mounted it low on the dash just above the wipers......i have a laser shield and Veil......I'd like a jammer but they are illegal in Utah, and id rather not risk it.....I usually don't speed like a madman, but i was just wondering......

Let's be realistic guys, when you get a laser detection, 99% chance you already got nailed. Unless, you have Blinders or some sort of Laser jammer.
