    Default Problems problems problems...

Having an issue it seems with my beltronics sti driver.... was wondering if anybody else out there has had this issue with their sti. It will one time detect k band outstanding outperforming or matching v1. Then the next it will underperform to the point that I have actually drove right past a gfs foods which was a highly known k band false and I received nothing untill after I passed gfs? Why is beltronics so unreliable you would think for 500 bucks it wouldn't fade in and out maybe I should take Nma's advice and send into Beltronics. It seems like just yesterday I got the unit though and im already seeming to have an issue with it?

My STI has always detected it's normal false points at pretty much identical distances.

    Default just

Just seems like it's a little shady on k band alpine. Call BelEscort and give "SPECIFIC" details of what needs to be done. Since it is still under warranty, ask for a prepaid shipping label from Bel.

It doesn't matter if anybody is using the door because they are always shooting radar.

There are factors affecting that situation. It also does the same thing with the X50 or V1. You get 1 bogey at times, 2 the next time and 3 there after. You also get longer range at times and shorter range at times. There can be cars(traffic) that blocks the line of sight from auto door openers. As far as i am concerned, the STI had good K band detection. You really need to test it with no interference(open field) to check it out. I do have a modified auto door opener that i use to test multiple bogeys in K band, an MPH BEE K band radar and Ka band Kustom Golden Eagle. I find that out to be nornal in your situation and not a problem. Using that as a standard for testing your RD is in no way reliable. Hope that helps.
