    Default its more like this

Its more like this Azone. Even on ProudNMAMember's k-15 mph industries handheld k band gun. I could instant on trigger fast enough lock in a speed and not have x-50 or v995 go off! But v1 alerted every time. He very well could have flipped the switch so fast that he barely obtained and locked in a speed if that is the case he very well could lock in you speed especially with a rx-65 due to the fact that the rx-65's immedicy of response time sucks don't beleive me watch out run shooting a bushnell k band gun and one missing half the alerts using this principle but him still obtaining speeds of the cars to his front. I do this all the time with my bushnell.

Here is outruns page for all that don't know it.... www.jasonsvideoproductions.com

Look around till you see k band testing bushnell or something to that tune... you'll find it when you do you'll realize why and how you got a ticket with a rx-65. I would still be sending the unit in anyhow to get it looked over by bel that was still good advice it very well may be out of tune this is also correct and highly possible but service required most likely would have came up if this was the case meaning it is out of tune and the manufacturer has to retune it and send it back to you jimbonzz nailed that one. ANd yes it very well have been vascar most people don't realize that most k band guns even have a stop watch mode so does my lidar my prolaser 1 and 2 do as well so it is very possible.

I have already covered this possible situation in my previous post for 1/7/07. I also have mentioned it in some of my postings here in this forum. I myself have tested this problem with the X50 and RX65 and own a couple police radar systems even stronger than the bushnell sports radar gun. This is due to the filtering system of both the X50 and RX65 that causes that delayed reaction time. This filtering system they use is to prevent false alert and thus the X50 and Rx65 is quieter than the V1 out of the box. I also mentioned that the worse possible scenario is that his RX65 is broke or needs retuning.

    Default i also

I also agreed and mentioned that but the filtering was neglected to be mentioned in this poor guys case. Thats all. no bashing.

Unfortunately, even the V1 will be of no help if it was instant on and even if his RX65 was able to pick it up the alert. Filtering or no filtering, there is not much you can do with instant on. It's just an unfortunte situation and i have been in that situation too before.

    Default well unfortantly there is

Well unfortantly there is one thing you could do. Not be the rabbit and get one. This is all to common of a mistake detector users make. They go to their local walmart get a crapra and get out front thinking, "I have a radar detector im ok." Not realizing what they just said its a "radar detector" not a "Law Enforcement Detector." Then as you stated they find themselves in a world of hurt. There is more to operating a radar detector than the detector itself. You need to be constantly scanning with your eyes they will save you more often than your detector. The detector is merely backup for what your eyes don't see. The user also has to have common sense. Being out front is asking for a Leo knocking on your window saying the famous words "do you know how fast you where going?" A rabbit is first and formost a must in any detector usage! Especially now days that they have instant-on and pop radar. Who knows if you keep eyes open you might even spot camera enforcement, or even a lidar trap but those things are luck.
