Cannot disable k band Bel Rx65

I received my BelRX65 from Roy.
The problem im having, is that i drive mostly in my home town,and when When disable k band it always goes off no matter what.
The only band the Leo's in my little town use is kA.
There are 3 banks,4 grocery stores,cvs, walgreens.
All have alarms and all on k band.
When i turn off k band on the rx65 it always go off.
Is there any way to override this?
I really haven't had the chance to give the rx65 a road test yet do the progressive inclement weather.
Im sure il be satisfied with the rx65 this spring on my
bass fishing trips.

I had this experience when I first got my 65. If you have SWS ON It will automatically override K band setting. So basically if you try to turn K band off with SWS ON It will keep it on. So to fix simply turn SWS OFF and K band OFF and you will not receive K band alerts.

Thank's but i really would like to keep sws on.
My hearing isnt as good as it used to be
But oh well i guess if thats the way it has to be then il do it.
Beats k band going off all the time. il be sure to enable it when i leave town.

SWS is rare and uses K band hence the connection. So it's all or nothing situation.

Most of which are probably going to be the extremely large cities that also have the MIRTS and cool gadgets too. I would guess if you're less than a few hundred thousand and have never had it go off before. Turn SWS off.

WOW! Really. Well like I said it is either all or nothing. It sucks I know in your situation. Of course just keep your eyes on the lookout always helps too!
