I have owned an RX65 (ver 6.1) for over a yr now and have always found the dectection of multanova speed cameras to vary alot from 40m to over 500m warning.
Recently my mate bought the AU model Vector XR950 and said it was fantastic. We took both detectors and did a few tests at some multanova sites around Perth. First we'd do run with the RX65 past the camera sites, then swapped it with the XR950 and went past the sites again.
We found that the XR950 gave a consistent 3-4 seconds earlier warning time to the multanovas compared to the RX65!
I always thought the XR950 was just a marketing gimmick as they say its tuned to Aussie conditions etc. But after seeing the XR950 outperform the RX65 on multanova on 3 separate occassions, i'm left wondering if it really is true that the XR950 IS designed for Aussie conditions???
I really am interested to know if anyone else who owns an AU/NZ XR950 have had a similar experience.
