Default Can the sun cause Laser alerts?

I had it happen to me once (I think). Had my RX65 turned on and was driving into the sun in early morning. I have NEVER picked up a Laser alert in my area after 1 year of using RDs. Plenty of K and Ka though. Anyway, sun in my eyes, all of a sudden...LASER alert. No cars in front or back of me that could set it off. Area was hilly but nowhere for a squad to effectively hide. I received 3 more Laser alerts before turing South out of the sun. Then they stopped. Haven't received ANY laser alerts on this same road or anywhere else, but haven't been driving into the sun since that one time. So CAN the sun cause Laser alerts? :?:

Yes, especially when the sun is low in the sky, dawn, dusk.

Cool!...thanks guys!! For a while I was concerned I had a problem with my detector. But it appears this is not uncommon. My confidence in the RX65 is restored

    Default just today

Just today, I got a laser alert on the V1 and I was like," Where is he"? Come to find out, it was a neon sign. Laser sure can wake you up when it goes off.

Yes sunlight will cause falses (rarely but they happen) on the RX65.

Also certain GSM phones (I have seen mostly Cingular and T-Mobile phones) when placed within 1.5 ft of the RD will cause it to go haywire on laser.
