    Default got a KU question

ok so i just got a bel 955, its an upgrade from the whistler pro58 that i had and so far i like it. now my question is that i read on here that the 955 is basically a stripped version of the rx-65. now if thats true will it detect the Ku band and what is the chance of ku coming to the states? I know the rx-65 will detect ku so its just a thing i was wondering. And also how does a 955 do in the "forward facing" test when they are sitting on the on-ramps, that is one of the main problems where i'm from. thanks in advance guys.

    Default welcome

Welcome to the board languy. As far as ku band, probably not going to be introduced here in the U.S. But once in a while, it's kinda fun to turn on ku just for the heck of it. Some satellite dishes, set off a false on ku band for rd's that have ku band enabled.

ok thanks for the clarification on the Ku band. Also how does it compare to the other detectors on the forward testing, from the 2007 GOL forward facing test they did not test the 955 only the rx65 and sti so does anyone know how the 955 would do against that situation? thanks

And here I thought that Ku band was for satellite recievers. My grandparents used to have an old school dish. They now have DishNetwork but they kept the big dish outside since my grandfather likes to sit under the shade it makes while he waters his apricot trees.
