See "Self calibration service unit testing" about 3/4 down the Beltronics page.
ask Roy not us. Roy will help you out, his customer service is excellent. Should have a one year warranty anyway
A SelfCal message isn't necessarily a reason to shudder in horror. As long as the unit recovers without having to be power cycled then go on your merry way. It is a problem if it continues to Self Cal alert or of course if it cries out Service Required. Even then if the unit recovers after being powered cycled it may be OK.
x2, Self Cal means its doing its job.Originally Posted by insidercw3
yep, send it to roy, he should swap it out for a new one.
well the thing is its saying self cal.
and randomly i'll get an alert on every band, even the bands i have off. like the other night i got a ka alert, k band alert and x band alert. and i don't even have x band turned on. and my radar detector was freaking out.
but I pm'd roy, so we'll see how it goes. Roy is always great.
thanks for the help guys.
