self cal :[
so i got my first self cal message today. since i got my radar detector like 3-4 months ago its always felt kind of faulty and has been very faulty lately. am i able to send it to beltronics and have it replaced? it was bought from radar roy.
See "Self calibration service unit testing" about 3/4 down the Beltronics page.
ask Roy not us. Roy will help you out, his customer service is excellent. Should have a one year warranty anyway
A SelfCal message isn't necessarily a reason to shudder in horror. As long as the unit recovers without having to be power cycled then go on your merry way. It is a problem if it continues to Self Cal alert or of course if it cries out Service Required. Even then if the unit recovers after being powered cycled it may be OK.
Yoda of Radar
x2, Self Cal means its doing its job.
