Default Got a ticket, very low warning only?

Been using the bel 895 for over a year. It has worked well but I have questioned in the past the low alert level to some Ka even when close. Well, I was doing 90 on I70 early in the morning. I got a Ka alert just one bar and only a couple of beeps. As usual I slowed down right away. Next thing I know county is pulling up behind me. Shouldn't there have been a stronger warning if he was gunning me directly? I had pop turned off but was wondering if you can get a brief warning on ka from a ka POP? I don't know of any cops using POP in missouri.
p.s. any suggestions on good web sights for getting out of a ticket?

Possible you were hit from behind after you passed him and nothing large was in front of you to reflect the radar signal into the antenna of your detector?

Sorry to hear you got cooked The 895 is ok, but you need better and more sensitive. I think it's time to up-grade to one of the top 3

I think the 895 is probably the best detector you can buy for under $200.00. I know that they are not sold anymore but I think you were a victim of IO and there is really nothing you could do in this case except having a rabbit or do the speed limit. The 895 detects radar pretty much on par with the top 4. So with this being said, no detector would have saved you in this case. Also to note, the Bel products have been known to have ramp up problems so you could have been being painted with Ka IO but the 895 just reacted as if you were'nt. I say keep the 895 and just slow down a bit and have a rabbit the next time. IO is something no RD is going to save you against if you are a direct taget.

Thank you guys for the input. I really like my 895, its the best bang for the buck or should I say beep for the buck I knew I got the IO. Just thought that I would have gotten a higher reading on the bar graph. The other thing is I have NO idea where he was at. He was sationary but completely blacked out. Pretty sure he was on the other side of the highway due to the amount of time it took him to get to me. My 895 has had great Ka range though :!:

The 895 is on a par with the RX65, V995 and that family of detectors. The patrolman could have hit you from behind. Maybe from an on ramp that you passed by? It's a deadly technique as you're not only getting IO'd but it's IO from the rear.

That makes a lot of sense. I plan on sticking with my 895 for some time. Makes me feel better about my 895 and that it is still functioning correctly.
