Default what were the best older Bel detectors to get ?

    ok I had a Passport X50...not a big deal..it worked...

I had a V1 ..it worked but I sold it cause I needed money...

I was just wanting to know what older Bels were good before the latest line of them came out?

I am tired of running without a detector and dont feel like dropping $200 on one right now..

thought I might look for older model....980? 985?

or else someone can make suggestions.....I really just dont feel like spending $200+

What does the 955 look like? I mean what does the display look like? I didnt like some of the lower models with the newer Bels they look cheap..

I was trying to find a good older top model that was decent compared to the new ones like a 985 maybe

The 970, the 980, and 985 were and are very good! Stay away from the 645, 745, 845, 850 and 855 series. They were inferior in every way!

You might want to consider a pro78 if you're looking for best bang for you buck. People seem to love them.

Note: I don't have one, but if I were to buy a backup detector that would probably be what I would go for.
