Default RX65 experience on italian highway...

    hi guys...

today it's my fist experience with my RD on a a long ride...about 200KM...on the italian highway...

i moved from BRESCIA(100km east form milan) to PADOVA (100km ovest from VENICE)...

on the highway i meve the rx65 to highway mode (NOT AUTOSCAN) and i've all the band on...

    THe strange thing is...that!
    i've got a K-̣band alert on 24.140 for many km...about 10-20km... a logn continous signal about k4 to k7...

    what can it be?

i have also an unpdated list of autovelox poi on my TOM TOM navigator and in this site there was not fix gatso...

    any opinion?

Probably something in a car leaking radar. Perhaps radar-guided cruise control on some Mercedes-Benz S klasse?

There has been some failures with earlier RX65s. After beeing powered for some minutes it goes off in alert K1-K3 and does not stop until You switch power off

Your alert was stronger so it´s not propably that ??

sometimes if your detector is very good and the terrain is just right you can get a rear radar signal from pretty far away. Far enough away that you may not see anything at all....
