BEL RX 65 - reprogramming

Hello, please can somebody help me? I have RX65 latest firmware and need to work in narrow Ka band, I live in country (Czech Republic) where I need to work on this narrow Ka band....RX65 has superwide Ka but I need to reprogram them. I know that it can be flashed but I dont know how....Is some way to set Ka narrow by pushing some buttons on RX65 ? thank you very much. Sincerely, Tomas

The only "narrow" Ka mode on the RX65 is the USA setting (as opposed to Intl). However, it's tuned to the Ka frequencies used in the USA, so it may miss your Czech radars. Do you know what frequency (in GHz) your radars operate on?

no need to set , rx65 default setting is "Intl"

actually they work on 34.00GHz and 34.30GHz. there is no way to flash the fw in your detector (by that i mean that no one actually does that not that it;s absolutely impossible to do). you would need to get a different detector from a local distributor (yes they are more expensive but you always get what you pay for). your only option now is ka wide but it doesn't work reliably against ramers and ad9 radars. in the meantime mounting the detector vertically might help a bit but don;t expect that it will work like if id had ka narrow.

RX65 was recently screw up by Beltronics, by change mainboard, antenna and soft 6.1, now is a litlle better v.6.3 but not so good, as v4.5

Only the old version RX65 with old antenna and soft 4.5, was great and detect Multanova&Ramer from about 300meters.

Of course i speak about Polish conditions, where is a Ramer and Multanova which are simalar to Czech Republic where is a lot of Ramer's.
Drivers in USA don't have this problem new Rx65 enough very well for American Radars.

hi, i find some czech e-shop which selling BEL 965 and 995 CZ (like czech version) which is three times expensive like normal price, and they say`s "they have special software (firmware) inside detector" and this make RD Ka band to narrow. So if i allready have 995 i need to change the firmware. If you know how to change or where i can find, pls tell us :cry: thx
