    Default STi software update??? maybe Ka 33.8 fix?

    Hey guys,

    So I just got my STi back beltronics and among other things it says "updated software". It was A4M9 before and it still says A4M9. So could this be the much rumored July update to fix 33.8 Ka??? :shock: I will keep you guys posted, I'm heading on a long two week trip on Friday. Anyone in the MD area with a radar gun want to meet up and put this to the test in two weeks when I get back?

    BTW - the other fixes were: repaired audio board, repaired speaker and headphone jack, repaired antenna. Lots of stuff going on, but it seems to be working more reliably now. Makes me wonder if they really repaired all this stuff or just said it cause this is what I said was having issues. I thought they tended to just replace antenna's when they went bad, not repair them.

    Ordered my STI on Sunday and should get it tomorrow. Hope it has the 33.8 bug fix if there is one.

    I can't say for sure it's the rumored 33.8 fix, but I sure hope so. I don't have the means to test it out though, so hopefully I can meet up with someone to test it out and let you guys know. I'll keep everyone posted about my roadtrips.

    DC --> Maine this weekend
    Maine --> Philly --> Pittsburgh --> DC in two weeks

    I am getting my new x50 tomorrow too, so if I get bored I might test that one out some as well.

    Default 33.8 GHz fix

    I talked with Bel CS today - Ashley the CS Rep said that a fix for the 33.8 GHz problem is available. If your unit is under warranty they will give you a Service Order # and you can ship it to them in West Chester, OH where they will complete the fix, re-test your detector and ship it back to you at no cost (you have to pay your own shipping to get it there). She said it would be returned to you approximately two weeks from the day they receive it.

    FU!@#$ Awesome! I guess I dont need to remove my hardwire job after all.Ashley hooked me up real quick also. She's the bomb. She said make sure when I send it in to include

    Assigned Service # (outside and inside of package)
    problem description
    copy of authorized dealer invoice purchased within the last year
    and contact info

    I think this forum really has some pull in the industry. Thanks Radar Roy, GOL, and Azonehits. You guys helped me get my moneys worth.
