Today on my way to Cedar Point I had the opportunity to compare my STi & newly picked up V1 3.813. I was running the STi in tech mode so I could see the bands, in "H", & the V1 in "A".
The V1 alerted to Ka, then the STi followed suit with 33.8??. Within a few seconds the STi went dead quiet, but the V1 was still alerting.
1.3 miles later the ramp up on the V1 was pegged, and following the arrows I passed the trooper.
Other than at GoL testing I have never got to see this happen in a real world encounter.
The road was 71N in Columbus, OH. It was flat as far as I could see with only a concrete barrier between the roads.
Hate to say it and this is by no means a plug for V1 I just had it running at the same time to compare. Before I get flamed I know it's not considered good practice, to run 2 at the same time but this V1 is factory fresh and never once alerted the V1 to any band that would represent leakage.
More to follow.
