Can STi use V1's power supply?

I live in VA and am growing concerned with the Spectre. Just today when I was driving down rt. 29 in Gainesville, I saw an unmarked cruiser behind me coming up fast. I turned my V1 off. As he passed I saw something suction cup mounted in the middle of his windshield and he was messing around with it. Got a little nervous. I just installed my V1 yesterday in my new G35 and was wondering if the V1's power supply will work with the STi?

Why was I lucky? We have no confirmed sightings yet. I'm in NOVA. I'm certain that they would be more effective on Rt. 81 or Rt. 95 south where there's more truckers and people coming from other states.

What about the smartplug? This is the first car that I haven't installed my V1 in. I paid a shop to do it because I wasn't familiar with how to get my center console apart. Cost me $120 for a install with custom surround for the remote console in the ashtray. I'm getting nervous though. I know the Spectres are coming if not here already and we drive down south to go to our beach house several times a year.
