I am hoping someone will test a "new" one very soon, or I am sending mine back in favor of the 9500. (both are coming to the end of their 30-day trial)

Mine was sent in and a new 2707 STICKER was put on it (says this on the invoice) and they told me I have the latest firmware.

Of course the STi is the better detector, but every single hit around here is 33.8, and I can't risk it. Yes, the STi has given me 33.8 warnings, but many times I pass an LEO who seems to be trolling, but no alert. Could be radar off, could be . . .

I can't live with that uncertainty for $450.

no need to send it to GoL. just use it and enjoy it. we have no problem getting the updates. however, it's hard to say if / when we'll get back together as a group. having already gotten burned by the mountain climber once this year I'm hesitant to do it again.

I can tell you I'm a little suspect of the fix until I see it with my own eyes.

but I can promise you, it'll get no special treatment from anything else. happya$$ has said it many times our job is not to find problems, but to simply offer unbiased testing with everyone getting a fair shot.

I sent my STI in yesterday. Delivery was confirmed and signed for today, so let the waiting game begin. Mem-Tek did you send your detector in with the cord and suction cups and stuff? I just sent the detector itself. Should I have sent in any of the accessories with it? I will post all my info on the report when I get it back. Hopefully soon. I feel more naked than Will Farrell in an SUV full of chicks waiting to go to Taco Bell.
