I took an 800 mile round trip from Montreal to NJ this weekend.
Once I crossed thr border I removed my detector from it's usual hiding place and center mounted it 3/4 of the way up the windshield just below the mirror.
On the way down I was travelling in broad daylight and I got 4 good 34.7 saves with each one giving more than ample warnings (1 mile+). All of the LEO's were parked in either the center divider or in a construction zone. I never speed through construction zones so I guess you can say those 2 of the 4 saved me nothing.
While down there I had a few good hits on secondary routes but my speed was within reason anyways.
The best save was on the NY Thruway near Newburgh on the way back I was hit with laser while travelling about 30mph over the PSL. I immediately jammed on the brakes and hit resume on the cruise control which was preset at 65.
I then began looking to spot the threat. He was aproximately 1600-1800' in front of me in the center divider. I killed the lights on the detector so he wouldn't notice as I drove by.
All in all I rate it's performance as excellent so far.
