Sounds, VG2 can it be changed on the RX65

Was wondering if the VG2 mode could be disabled. Also, can the alert sounds be changed. Could not seem to do this in programming.

please explain us the VG2 fonction on the RX-65, because to me it dosnt alert you to VG2, or if it did I didnt know about that, all I know it is VG2 Invisible, aslo you cannot change the TOne/Sound on the RX65 like you can do on the X50

The RX-65 manual actually shows a VG2 alert under "Explanation of Displays". People have mentioned before that this could be a misprint though, someone should call BEL and confirm.

I called Bel twice to try to find out about VG2 alerts on the RX65. The first customer service rep said he did not know, tried to put me on hold but ended up hanging up on me. The second customer service rep said that VG2 would pop up on the screen and the RD would shut down using "Shadow Technology." Personally I have been driving through and around VA for the last year fairly frequently and have not had even one VG2 alert. The second rep also said that the RX65 has not had a firmware revision yet.

Hey guys I also spoke with Bel today and they stated that VG2 could not be turned off. They said that they simply tune the oscillator to a different frequency than that of the VG2 therfore not utilizing any processing power what so ever. No alerts will be given for VG2.
