Beltronics Tech Display. How many use it, and why?

I have been fiddling with the tech display on my 995. I would like to hear from anyone using the tech display and why?

I'm still working on getting around to that dimming switch LV... but regarding the tech display, I love it.
For example: There is a "your speed" sign right before one of the exits in my town. It operates at 24.100 +- .010. The cops love to sit here too because it's a blind curve and people always speed! I have yet to encounter a real cop using a 24.100, in my area. When a real cop is chilling there I typically get 24.150+- .010 or a 34.7 Ka. So for me it's beneficial in that aspect. All the K band doors in my area operate at 24.128 or 24.158. Another beneficial thing to know.

I have yet to run into this but another thing to consider.... You pass one cop and pick up 34.7. As you're departing his stationary position you switch frequencies to 35.5. There are two Ka sources. While on the meter display you would not be able to tell this. It's not a V1... (I really want the numbers and arrows), but it's as close as you'll get for 200 bucks, that I know.

I've been using the Tech Display on my STI for a long time now and like it very much, any time I get a Ka alert I like to know the frequency of that alert, same for K but here we have lots of door openers using K frequencies as well... so a big 10-4 for the Tech Display 8)

it helps you figure out what radar and whom is using it, my local PD uses k, ka 35.5, my state DPS Use 34.7 ,so therefore i know who is uphead and whom i might be dealing with...

I love the tech or spec display of the belscort units. Tells you what type of Ka band radars are being used in the area and identify false Ka alerts.

I have my STi on tech display but it just gives me the bands like K, Ka at the same time, for example, if the two radar sources are present NOT the frequencies - how do you set up tech display to show the two different band frequencies if that's what you're encountering?

What I meant to say is in THT - Threat Display - can it show the frequencies as well? In TEC display with more than one source how does the STi report - is there a preference for Ka over K for example? or does it flash all the different frequencies its picking up on the display? How is signal strength displayed in TEC mode.

I guess I just should try it out . . .

THT display will only show different bands but not frequencies.

I run my STi on THT display also. Does anyone know if it shows multiple frequencies of the same type with this display? Like it may show X K2 Ka5, but if there are more than one will it show X K2 K3 Ka2 Ka1???
